Meeting and Mapping the Inner Landscape: Low Verbalization Expressive Arts/Parts Work Strategies (3 hour workshop)

An experiential training that brings together the theory and practice of Expressive Arts Therapy and parts-based clinical work. Participants will explore how creative modalities can help clients externalize their internal systems in ways that make parts visible, approachable, and workable without requiring a single word of verbal explanation. Particular attention will be given to trauma-informed and neuro-affirming applications for use in treatment with clients of diverse learning, communication, and processing styles. Through guided experiential activities, attendees will have the opportunity to explore their own internal landscape, deepening self-awareness and enhancing their work as clinicians through personal experience. Participants will walk away with practical tools for use in daily clinical work.

The experiential nature of this workshop may evoke uncomfortable emotions and sensations. Participants are encouraged to engage at a level and pace that feels tolerable for them.
